Kodaikanal Public School proudly conducted its Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2026–2027 on 04th July 2026, marking a significant milestone in the lives of the newly elected student leaders. The ceremony celebrated the values of leadership, responsibility, discipline, and service, formally entrusting students with the honour of leading their peers throughout the academic year.
The event was graced by Police Sub Inspector Mr. Poovarasan as the Chief Guest. His inspiring presence and motivating address encouraged students to embrace leadership with courage, integrity, humility, and a strong sense of responsibility. He reminded the young leaders that true leadership is demonstrated not by authority, but through service, commitment, and setting a positive example for others.
The ceremony commenced with great dignity as the newly elected members of the Student Cabinet were invited to receive their official sashes and badges. The cabinet comprises students entrusted with various leadership responsibilities, including the positions of President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Speaker, Chaplain Ministers, Sports Ministers, Health Ministers, Library Minister, and Entertainment Minister. Each leader proudly accepted the symbols of their office, signifying their commitment to uphold the values and traditions of Kodaikanal Public School.
Following the Student Cabinet, the House Captains and Vice Captains were formally invested. Representing the school's four houses—Daisy House (Blue), Rose House (Red), Jasmine House (Green), and Lotus House (Yellow)—these student leaders will guide their respective houses in academics, sports, cultural events, and inter-house competitions, fostering teamwork and healthy competition throughout the year.
The ceremony continued with the investiture of the school's Prefects and Assistant Prefects, who were presented with their badges in recognition of the important role they play in maintaining discipline, supporting school activities, and serving as role models for their fellow students.
One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony was the Oath of Office, during which the Student Cabinet and House Leaders pledged to carry out their duties with honesty, dedication, fairness, and sincerity. The solemn pledge reflected their readiness to lead by example and uphold the values that define the Kodaikanal Public School community.
The Investiture Ceremony is more than a formal tradition—it is a celebration of trust, character, and the belief that leadership begins with service. By empowering students with meaningful responsibilities, Kodaikanal Public School continues its commitment to nurturing confident, compassionate, and capable young leaders who are prepared to make a positive impact within the school and beyond.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the newly invested student leaders and wish them a successful and inspiring year of service as they lead Kodaikanal Public School through the academic year 2026–2027.
